Partindo de uma reflexão sobre os Direitos da Criança, este projecto centra-se no papel da Educação e das
instituições sócio-educativas na promoção, reflexão e defesa dos mesmos, numa perspectiva de formação de
adultos e crianças.
Ao longo do percurso, foram promovidas acções de esclarecimento e sensibilização junto dos agentes educativos,
sobre os aspectos pedagógicos, jurídicos, psicológicos e sociais sobre os quais versa a Convenção dos Direitos da
Criança. Posteriormente, e porque a interpretação das dimensões que compõem este documento depende de
condições que extrapolam a sua divulgação, procurou-se promover a participação activa e consciente de um
conjunto de educadores/professores que se disponibilizaram para colaborar no projecto. É justamente da génese e
fundamentação deste trabalho que aqui damos conta. Starting from a reflection on the Rights of the Child, this project focuses on the role of Education and socioeducational
institutions in their promotion, discussion and protection, in a perspective of adults and children
training.
Throughout the project, some actions were organised to clarify and raise awareness among school staff on the
pedagogical, legal, psychological and social issues of the Convention of the Rights of the Child. Later, and having
in mind that the interpretation of the dimensions that comprehend this document depends on the conditions that
go beyond its disclosure, we tried to promote the active and conscious participation of a group of educators/
teachers who were available to collaborate on the project. It is precisely the genesis and rationale of this project
that we hereby present.
