O tema da sobredotação tem-se tornado progressivamente mais comum na sociedade portuguesa e junto dos profissionais da educação, contudo esse esforço ainda não é suficiente em termos de consciencialização e de competência dos diversos intervenientes numa possível identificação a apoio aos alunos sobredotados ou com mais talento. O principal objetivo deste estudo é verificar o grau de associação entre o desempenho escolar dos alunos que pontuaram no percentil 90 ou superior (5º ano=64; 6º ano=75) e as perceções dos docentes sobre as capacidades de tais alunos, assim como com os seus resultados em provas psicológicas de aptidão, criatividade e autoconceito. Os resultados apontam apenas para correlações entre o rendimento escolar a BISAST/HCA e na BPR apenas no 6ºano de escolaridade e inexistência de correlações entre o rendimento escolar e as restantes variáveis. Verifica-se maior convergência no 5º ano por comparação com o 6º ano de escolaridade, nas pontuações percentuais obtidas pelos alunos ao nível da BPR, perceção dos docentes e elaboração e originalidade. Discute-se a necessidade da complementaridade das informações com natureza diferente na sinalização e identificação dos alunos. The giftedness has become increasingly common in the Portuguese society and among professionals in education, however this effort is not enough in terms of awareness and ability of different stakeholders to identify a possible support for gifted or more talent students. The main objective of this study is to assess the degree of association between the academic performance of students who scored in the 90th percentile or higher (5 years = 64, 6th year = 75) and the perceptions of teachers about the capabilities of these students, as well as their results in psychological tests of aptitude, creativity and self-concept. The results show only correlations between the academic performance BISAST / HCA and BPR only in the 6th grade and lack of correlation between school performance and other variables. It is verified a bigger convergence in the 5th year in comparison with the 6th grade, the scores obtained by students in BPR tests, perception of teachers, elaboration and originality. It also discussed the need for complementarity of information with a different kind of signalization and identification of students.
