O objectivo do estudo foi comparar o mesmo protocolo de exercícios de fisioterapia quando efectuado em meio aquático (GA) e em meio terrestre (GB) em doentes com EA, relativamente aos resultados do índice BASDAI, EVA e teste de Schober. Foram seleccionados 45 pacientes e distribuídos por 3 grupos com 15 elementos cada, o GA, o GB e um grupo de controlo. Os 3 grupos foram avaliados durante 4 semanas. Não se verificaram diferenças entre os resultados do GA e GB. The aim of the study was to compare the same physiotherapy exercises protocol when performed in aquatic environment (GA) and terrestrial environment (GB) in patients with Ankylosing Spondylitis on the results of BASDAI index, numerical rating pain scale and Schober test. 45 patients were selected and divided in 3 groups with 15 participants each, GA, GB and a control group. The 3 groups were evaluated during 4 weeks. No significant differences were found between the results of GA and GB.
