Finisterra is one of the main Portuguese Journals of Geography. Finisterra publishes original articles and research notes on various aspects of Human and Physical Geography, Environmental Resources and Hazards, Risks, Local and Regional Planning, Spatial Planning, Regional and Local Development, Geographic Information Systems and on other topics. The quality control of the texts submitted to the journal is carried out by the editors and the editorial board; the papers submitted are peer-reviewed ("double-blinded", at least two referees per paper). Finisterra stands as a privileged platform for young and senior researchers as well as for students and planning agents. Finisterra publishes in Portuguese, English, French, Spanish and Italian. Each article includes abstracts and keywords in three languages.
