Mestrinho, E; Ribeiro, V; Pinto, A P; Lopes, M E

In this work the content in seven metals was analysed in samples from a leachate, collected in a sanitary intermunicipal landfill. Samples were collected in three stages of the wastewater treatment plant, just before the biological treatment, just after the biological treatment and from the ultrafiltration permeate. Pb, Cr, Cu, Fe, Mn, Cd, Zn content was determined. Fe was the most abundant of the analysed meta...

Gate-bias stress in amorphous oxide semiconductors thin-film transistors

Lopes, M. E.; Gomes, Henrique L.; Medeiros, M. C. R.; Barquinha, P.; Pereira, L. M. C.; Fortunato, E.; Martins, R.; Ferreira, I.

A quantitative study of the dynamics of threshold-voltage shifts with time in gallium-indium zinc oxide amorphous thin-film transistors is presented using standard analysis based on the stretched exponential relaxation. For devices using thermal silicon oxide as gate dielectric, the relaxation time is 3 105 s at room temperature with activation energy of 0.68 eV. These transistors approach the stability of the ...

Extracção sequencial em sedimentos e resíduos da antiga mina da Tinoca: geoquím...

Morais, C.; Mirão, J.; Rosado, L.; Pinto, A.P.; Lopes, M.E.; Nogueira, P.; Candeias, A.E.

Mine wastes and sediments from the ancient copper mine of Tinoca (Alto Alentejo – Portugal) were submitted to a sequential extraction with the objective to establish distribution patterns for copper (Cu), iron (Fe), zinc (Zn) and lead (Pb) in different specific phases: amorphous oxides; rystalline oxides; sulphides and silicates. The results of the sequential extraction showed that Cu and Fe were pr...
