The photochemistry of three 5-allyloxy-tetrazoles, in methanol, acetonitrile and cyclohexane was studied by product analysis and laser flash photolysis. The exclusive primary photochemical process identified was molecular nitrogen elimination, with formation of 1,3-oxazines.
