Santos; Henrique Manuel de Castro Faria SalgadoThe writing of arc-induced long period fibre gratings to be used as optical filters in Er/Yb fibre lasers and for gain flattening in EDFA is discussed. A new approach is presented for the production of filters with complex profiles.
