Development of nickel-based magnetoliposomes

Rodrigues, Ana Rita O.; Almeida, B. G.; Gomes, I. Tarroso; Araújo, J. P.; Castanheira, Elisabete M. S.; Coutinho, Paulo J. G.

Liposomes entrapping nickel-based magnetic nanoparticles (magnetoliposomes) were prepared and characterized.

Magnetoliposomes based on magnetite nanoparticles

Castanheira, Elisabete M. S.; Mendes, Pedro M. F.; Coutinho, Paulo J. G.; Almeida, B. G.; Gomes, I.Tarroso; Araújo, J. P.

In this work, magnetic nanoparticles of magnetite were prepared by soft chemical methods, using different surfactants as templating media. These nanoparticles were either covered with a lipid bilayer, forming dry magnetoliposomes, or entrapped in liposomes - aqueous magnetoliposomes.

Magnetoliposomes based on nickel/silica core/shell nanoparticles

Rodrigues, Ana Rita O.; Castanheira, Elisabete M. S.; Coutinho, Paulo J. G.; Almeida, B. G.; Gomes, I.Tarroso; Araújo, J. P.

In this work, magnetic nanoparticles of nickel core with silica shell were prepared by soft chemical methods, using tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) and different surfactants as templating media. These nanoparticles were either covered with a lipid bilayer or entrapped in liposomes.

Pr 0.5 Ca 0.5 MnO 3 thin films deposited on LiNbO 3 substrates

Gomes, I. Tarroso; Almeida, B. G.; Araújo, J. P.

Thin films of Pr 0.5 Ca 0.5 MnO 3 have been deposited on z-cut LiNbO 3 by pulsed laser ablation. The X-ray diffraction measurements showed that the films have grown highly oriented on LiNbO 3 , with a pseudocubic (111) preferred growth direction. The thicknesses of the films, measured by low angle X-ray reflectivity, are between 13 and 140 nm. Their electrical resistivity present a...

Visible and near ir photoluminescent response of nc-si : er thin films produced...

Cerqueira, M. F.; Monteiro, T.; Stepikhova, M.; Losurdo, M.; Soares, M. J.; Gomes, I. Tarroso

In this contribution we present the Visible and near IR photoluminescence (PL) analysis of Er doped nanocrystalline silicon thin films produced by rf magnetron sputtering method. Efficient photoluminescence was observed in these structures in both visible and 1.54µm wavelength regions. We show the strong influence of the presence of nanocrystalline fraction in films on their luminescence efficiency at 1.54 μm t...
