Tissue fragments from 17 non-aborted and 93 aborted fetuses were histologically studied. No histological lesions were observed in non-aborted fetuses, and 51.6% of the aborted fetuses presented histological lesions. The main lesions were: focal gliosis and mononuclear infiltrate in liver, CNS, lungs and muscular tissues.
