Growing winter cover crops has a great agroecological meaning, since it allow maintaining the residual inorganic N in the soil/plant system, thus avoiding leaching of N (Rodrigues et al., 2002). As winter cover crops, it can be grown diverse species (Jensen, 1992). If legume species were used, they can access atmospheric N through the establishment of a symbiotic relationship with N-fixing bacteria (Russelle, 2...
Analiticamente...
The main goal of this research study was the removal of Cu(II), Ni(II) and Zn(II) from aqueous solutions using peanut hulls. This work was mainly focused on the following aspects: chemical characterization of the biosorbent, kinetic studies, study of the pH influence in mono-component systems, equilibrium isotherms and column studies, both in mono and tri-component systems, and with a real industrial effluent f...
The female of Zimiromus hortenciae Buckup & Brescovit, 1993 is described for the first time and Trachyzelotes kulczynskii (Bösemberg, 1902), a species introduced from Europe, is recorded for the first time on the island of Fernando de Noronha, state of Pernambuco. The latter, along with T. lyonneti (Audouim, 1826) recorded from the state of Rio Grande do Sul, is the second species of this genus to be report...
The new genus Matagaia is proposed to include the newly described M. chromatopus sp. nov. from Fernando de Noronha Archipelago, state of Pernambuco, Brazil. In addition, Corythalia insularis sp. nov. and Neonella noronha sp. nov. are also described from this locality. The synanthropic Hasarius adansoni (Audouin, 1826) and Menemerus bivittatus (Dufour, 1831) are also recorded from the Archipelago.
Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry - SETAC Europe 15th Annual Meeting, Lille, France, May 2005. ; This work is part of the ACE project (ACE, EVK1-CT-2001-100) which aim is to investigate multi-component mixtures of estrogenic compounds in aquatic ecosystems. Here we present a synopsis of in vivo data related with the joint estrogenic action of five estrogenic compounds (17ß-estradiol, ethynylest...
