Este trabalho incide sobre o tema “ Percursos Investigativos em Fotossíntese e Transpiração no Ensino Secundário”. Visa a identificação de estratégias de como tornar a aprendizagem da Fotossíntese e Transpiração mais apelativa para os alunos do 10º ano do Ensino Secundário, bem como o desenho/construção de percursos investigativos e sua implementação. Os dados foram obtidos a partir de dois questionários por inquérito dirigido aos alunos (o 1º questionário foi administrado antes da construção/implementação dos percursos investigativos, o 2º questionário foi administrado após a leccionação de todos os conteúdos programáticos de Biologia de 10º ano), da observação e participação dos alunos nas aulas laboratoriais. Em sessão de trabalho para professores foram validados os percursos investigativos desenhados. A avaliação dos percursos investigativos pelos alunos permitiu determinar se estes modificaram as suas preferências acerca dos temas em estudo e/ou surtiram efeito no desenvolvimento de competências. Concluiu-se que há razões para considerar a implementação de percursos laboratoriais investigativos como uma metodologia motivadora no desenvolvimento das temáticas em estudo e para consultar os alunos quanto ao contributo dos percursos investigativos no desenvolvimento de competências. ABSTRACT: This work is about the theme “Investigating Courses in Photosynthesis and Transpiration in Secondary School”. It aims to identify strategies of how to turn the learning of photosynthesis and transpiration more appealing to the 10th grade students, as well as the design/construction of investigating courses and their implementation. The data was obtained from two questionnaires by inquiry given to the students (the 1st questionnaire was given before the construction/implementation of the investigating courses, the 2nd questionnaire was given after the teaching of all the program contents of biology of the 10th grade) and also from the observation and participation of the students in the laboratorial classes. In a work session for teachers the investigating courses that were designed were validated. The evaluation of the investigating courses by the students allowed knowing if they modified their preferences about the study themes and/or if they were effective in the development of competences. The work reached the conclusion that there are reasons to considerer the implementation of investigating laboratorial courses as a motivating methodology in the development of the themes in study although and to consult the students as to the contribution of the investigating courses in the development of competences.
