Description
Este estudo incide, essencialmente, sobre as implicações que o Regulamento
n.º 1606/2002 do Parlamento Europeu e do Conselho teve, ao nível da
tributação directa, na República da Irlanda.
O Regulamento n.º 1606/2002 do Parlamento Europeu e do Conselho surgiu
da necessidade que se vinha a sentir derivada da internacionalização cada vez
mais crescente das empresas. Este, veio obrigar a que as empresas-mãe, que
tenham os seus títulos cotados num mercado regulamentado, elaborem as
suas contas consolidadas de acordo com as IFRS, deixando em aberto a
possibilidade de os Estados Membro permitirem, proibirem ou obrigarem a sua
aplicação nas outras contas.
Neste estudo também abordamos a harmonização fiscal, no que respeita à
tributação directa, no seio da União Europeia.
ABSTRACT: This study is essentially about the implications of the Regulation nº. 1606/2002
of the European Parliament and of the Council, in terms of direct taxation, in
Republic of Ireland.
Regulation nº. 1606/2002 of the European Parliament and of the Council, came
from the necessity that was being felt, caused by increase of the
internationalisation of companies. This Regulation states that for each financial
year starting on or after 1 January 2005, companies governed by the law of a
Member State shall prepare their consolidated accounts in conformity with the
international accounting standards if, at their balance sheet date, their securities are
admitted to trading on a regulated market of any Member State, leaving the option
to the Member States of allowing, prohibit or impose their use in the other accounts.
In this study, we also focus the tax harmonization, in terms of direct taxation,
