Enquadrado pela evolução da epistemologia científica e pelo seu impacto no
desenho actual da Didáctica de Línguas, este trabalho visa compreender como
se configuram e gerem Encontros Interculturais Plurilingues na interacção
multiparticipantes de carácter (quase) síncrono (os chats).
Mais precisamente, depois da proposta de um modelo de análise destes
encontros e da verificação das suas potencialidades enquanto instrumento
heurístico, este estudo centra-se na análise de sequências de negociação de
imagens das línguas, dos locutores e da situação de comunicação em chats
plurilingues, convictos de que estas representações são constantes
inalienáveis no encontro com a alteridade.
A análise dos dados, recolhidos no âmbito do projecto Galanet, mostra que
estas representações são potenciais estimuladores interaccionais, devido ao
seu carácter tematizável e negociável e que os episódios em que emergem e
se negoceiam colaborativamente são lugares de emergência e de
desenvolvimento da competência plurilingue dos sujeitos e de co-construção
da intercompreensão, produto dialógico que emerge do “falar plurilingue”,
individual e colectivo. This work is framed within the evolution of scientific epistemology and by its
impact in the actual state of Language Didactics. It aims at understanding the
configuration and maintenance of Plurilingual Intercultural Encounters in a
multiparticipants and (almost) synchronous environment (chats).
More specifically, after the conceptualisation of an analysis model of these
encounters and the verification of its heuristic potentialities, we focused our
pragmatic analysis on the negotiation of images of languages, of their speakers
and of the communicative situation in plurilingual chat episodes. We believe
these representations are always present when people meet diversity, thus,
shaping the encounter.
The analysis of our data, collected in the scope of the Galanet project, shows
that these representations are potential interaccional stimulators (since chat
participants can thematise and negotiate them) and that these episodes, where
images emerge and are co-constructed, are discursive contexts of plurilingual
competence development, as well as of intercomprehension co-construction,
understood as the dialogical product that emerges from the “plurilingual talk”,
