A presente dissertação, resulta de uma preocupação que temos enquanto
docente no Instituto Superior de Educação (ISE) em Cabo Verde, desde 2004
esperando vir a dar um contributo para a melhoria do ensino e da
aprendizagem nessa instituição. A finalidade da presente investigação é,
através do desenvolvimento de um estudo de caso, contribuir com
conhecimento para um modelo de ensino à distância, baseado em modalidade
bLearning, com o intuito de ajudar a (re)pensar a oferta de formação contínua
da instituição. Os objectivos do estudo foram: i) promover a utilização de novas
modalidades de ensino e de aprendizagem na formação inicial universitária em
Cabo Verde, ii) Analisar o efeito do recurso ao bLearning no processo de
ensino e de aprendizagem dos estudantes-participantes no que respeita ao
grau de satisfação obtido e à aprendizagem ocorrida, iii) Propor, de uma forma
sustentada e reflectida, estratégias de implementação de bLearning na
formação dos estudantes do ISE. Desta forma, pretende-se contribuir para a
melhoria do conhecimento concreto desta modalidade de trabalho no ISE. Com
esta experiência visamos ainda tentar perceber se o ISE, enquanto unidade
associada da Universidade Pública de Cabo Verde, poderá começar a fazer
mais uso desta e de outras modalidades de ensino e de aprendizagem, como
utilização intensiva de mediação tecnológica, em mais disciplinas e em mais
licenciaturas. Nesta investigação procura-se, entre outros assuntos, reflectir
sobre a formação de professores em Cabo Verde, conhecer as iniciativas de
ensino à distância que têm sido feitas no país, ao longo dos anos, saber qual o
papel da Sociedade de Informação na sociedade e também na educação. Por
último, pretende-se propor um conjunto de medidas que coadjuvem no
melhoramento da formação dos estudantes do ensino superior no ISE ou na
Universidade Pública de Cabo Verde. Como metodologia de investigação
recorremos à realização de um estudo de caso, implementando o módulo
“Educação e Sociedade” da disciplina de Sociologia da Educação, através da
modalidade bLearning com os estudantes do terceiro ano da licenciatura de
Biologia – Ramo Ensino – do ISE, no ano lectivo 2006/2007.
O estudo aportou indicações de que para a utilização do bLearning em mais
licenciaturas no ISE, será necessário dotar a instituição de mais instalações
físicas, recursos humanos, formação dos docentes e discentes e
equipamentos informáticos.
ABSTRACT: This masters dissertation, results of a concerns that we have as a education
professionals I Institute of Upper Education (ISE) in Cape Verde, since 2004,
hopping that we hope to give a contribution to the improvement of education
and learning in the ISE. The main objective of this study is to, via a case study,
contribute with knowledge/data for a model of distant education based on the
bLearning mode with the purpose of helping to (re)think the offer of continuous
formation of this institution. Furthermore, we also have as objectives: i) promote
the utilization of new modalities of teaching and learning on the initial university
formation in Cape Verde, ii) analyze the rank of satisfaction of the students and
the advantages and disadvantages of using this mode of learning, iii) to
propose, in a reflective way, strategies of implementation of bLearning on the
formation of the ISE´s students. This will contribute to the improvement of the
concrete knowledge of this mode of working in the ISE. With this experience
we also aim to try to understand if the ISE, while being an associate unit of the
Public University of Cape Verde, will be able to make more use of this and of
other modes of education, as intensive use of technological mediation, in more
disciplines and courses and in more undergraduate degrees. This study seeks
to carry out a reflection about the formation of professors in Cape Verde, to
know the initiatives of distant education that have been applied in this country
throughout the years, and to know what is the role of the Society of Information
in society and also in education. Finally, it intends to present an assembly of
measures that support the improvement of the formation of higher education
students of the ISE or in the Public University of Cape Verde. As a method of
research we chose, as a case study, to implement the "Education and Society"
module of the discipline of Sociology of the Education through the bLearning
mode to the third year students of the undergraduate degree of Biology -
Teaching Specialization- of the ISE, year 2006/2007.
The results of this study indicates that the utilization of the bLearning mode in
more courses on ISE, still needs more installations, human resources,
student´s and teacher´s formation and technology equipment. Mestrado em Multimédia em Educação
