Em Cabo Verde, embora numa forma embrionária, os avanços das
Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação (TIC) têm trazido grandes
benefícios à educação. Os recursos dessas tecnologias, utilizados na única
entidade de âmbito nacional que teve por missão a construção progressiva de
um centro de recursos para cegos do país, a escola Manuel Júlio, constituem
instrumentos pedagógicos que estão à disposição dos professores e permitem
oferecer aos seus alunos uma aproximação do novo, do real, e do virtual.
Pensar sobre as contribuições das Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação
ao serviço da educação numa visão voltada para a inclusão dos alunos com
Necessidades Educativas Especiais (NEE) é uma necessidade urgente de
todos os profissionais que estão envolvidos no processo de ensino e de
aprendizagem.
Com o presente trabalho pretende-se trazer algumas reflexões sobre as
contribuições das TIC no processo de inclusão de alunos Portadores de
Necessidades Educativas Especiais (PNEE), como instrumentos que poderão
possibilitar a criação de oportunidades equitativas aos alunos. Nesta
perspectiva, enfatizamos a necessidade dos professores acreditarem e
promoverem mudanças significativas no sentido de dissipar barreiras em prol
da construção de uma educação inclusiva, que contemple a diversidade
humana. Do ponto de vista metodológico, o trabalho foi estruturado num
estudo de caso apoiado em entrevistas semi-estruturadas, com professores
das classes especiais da Escola Manuel Júlio, Cidade da Praia, Cabo Verde. A
análise dos dados indicou a existência de preocupações por parte desses
professores que trabalham com alunos deficientes visuais em se apropriarem
do conhecimento e das técnicas adequadas para o uso das TIC no ensino dos
cegos. Os professores entrevistados expressaram interesse e motivação para
trabalharem e desenvolverem uma comunicação mais eficaz com os seus
alunos. No entanto, entendem que professores de todos os níveis de ensino
necessitam de formação especializada que os qualifique para o uso eficaz do
computador e da Internet como instrumentos pedagógicos.
ABSTRACT: In Cape Verde, not withstand the fact that in embryonic way; the progresses of
the Information and Communication Technology (TIC) have brought in much
profit to the Education. The resources from these technologies, used in the sole
entity on the national scope, having as the main objective the progressive
building of a center of resources for blind men within the country, and, having
the school Manuel Julio, specialized in deficiency of sight, gather the pedagogic
tools which are at disposal of the teachers and, at the same time, allow the
offering of the new, real, and virtual approach to the students.
Thus, thinking of the contributions of the TIC in the rendering services to the
education in a perspective aiming at the inclusion of the students with the
Special Educational Needs (NEE) is urgent need of all professionals who are
enrolled in the process of the teaching and learning.
Itʼs intended, with the current work, to bring in some remarks on the
contributions of the TIC in the process of the inclusion of the Peoples With
Special Educational Needs (PNEE) students, as tools that enable the creation
of the equitable opportunities to the students. In this perspective, we emphasize
the need of the teachers to believe and promote significant changes in a way to
remove hindrances in favor of the building of inclusive education, which will
regard the human diversity. From the methodological point of view, the work
was carried out in a study of events based upon half-structured interviews, with
teachers of special classes at Manuel Julio School, in Cidade da Praia, Cape
Verde. The analysis of the data pointed out the existing worries by those
teachers who work with students suffering from deficiency of sight in the
acknowledgement of the suitable techniques for the use of the TIC in the
teaching of the blind men. The interviewed teachers have developed a more
efficient communication with their students. In the meantime, those teachers at
all level of teaching need specialized forming that classifies them for the
efficient use of the computer and the Internet as pedagogic tools. Mestrado em Multimédia em Educação
