desde os mais recuados tempos da Pr??- Hist??ria Recente at?? ?? atualidade.
A paisagem atual revela-se como um verdadeiro palimpsesto, atrav??s do qual se tem vindo, com o desenvolvimento das investiga????es, a vislumbrar as diversas paisagens que se configuraram ao longo do tempo.
Foi precisamente em resultado dos primeiros estudos arqueol??gicos, efetuados pela Unidade de Arqueologia da Universidade do Minho no ??mbito do projeto ???Conserva????o,
Estudo, Valoriza????o e Divulga????o do complexo Mineiro
Antigo do Vale Superior do Rio Terva, Boticas??? e procurando garantir uma valoriza????o sustentada e uma gest??o integrada
do valioso patrim??nio identificado, que se prop??s a cria????o do Parque Arqueol??gico do Vale do Terva/PAVT, tendo em vista
promover a sua difus??o alargada, a cria????o de servi??os, o aumento da oferta cultural de Boticas e a internacionaliza????o da hist??ria milenar e da identidade cultural do seu territ??rio.

Cultural o amea??ador cen??rio de Vale do Terva Paisagem Explora????o Mineira. The upper valley of the Terva River, in Boticas???s county,
north of Portugal, conserves a remarkable set of archaeological,
historical, architectural, ethnographic and natural
heritage values, which attest a long and complex evolution of
their occupation, from the earliest times of Recent Prehistory
to the present days.
The current landscape becomes as a veritable palimpsest,
through which it has been, with the development of
investigations, to glimpse the various man-made and natural
landscapes that are shaped over time.
It was precisely as a result of the first archaeological
studies, conducted by the Archaeology Unit of the University
of Minho under the ???Conservation, Study, Enhancement and
Diffusion of the Old Mining Complex of Upper Valley of Terva
River, Boticas??? project and seeking to ensure a sustained recovery
and integrated management of valuable assets identified,
which proposed the creation of the Archaeological Park
of Terva Valley/APTV, in order to promote its extensive diffusion,
creating services, the increment of the cultural offer of
Boticas and the internationalization of ancient history and
cultural identity of its territory.
This work, in addition to trace a brief history of the
project and to shortly describe the results of ongoing research,
intend to question the possibilities for future development,
contrasting the striving Terva Valley Cultural Landscape
scenario with the threatening Terva Valley open pit Mining
Landscape scenario.
