Disserta????o de mestrado integrado em Arquitectura (??rea de especializa????o em Cultura Arquitect??nica) Esta disserta????o tem como principal objectivo analisar a reciprocidade entre as
descri????es liter??rias arquitect??nicas e o espa??o constru??do ou ???destru??do???, ao mesmo
tempo que analisa os estilos liter??rios, os autores, e as experi??ncias e mem??rias dos
mesmos que contribuem para a cria????o da ???hist??ria???, materializando o cen??rio onde
se desenrola a ac????o.
O estudo come??a por uma abordagem que se concentra nas mem??rias e
experi??ncias de escritores, que influenciam as suas hist??rias, ao mesmo tempo que a
sua sensibilidade transporta o leitor para universos arquitect??nicos ficcionados.
Utilizando v??rios exemplos, nomeadamente escritores que se inspiram na arquitectura,
arquitectos que produzem literatura e escritores que fazem arquitectura, que
correspondem ?? primeira parte do trabalho que intitulamos ???Mem??rias
Arquitect??nicas???.
Numa segunda parte focamo-nos dois escritores que dar??o mote ?? terceira
parte do trabalho. Camilo Castelo Branco e E??a de Queir??s, foram os autores
portugueses do s??culo XIX escolhidos para abordagem liter??ria e arquitect??nica,
fazendo corresponder a cada um ???uma casa???.
Partindo do estudo das ??pocas e dos escritores em causa, direcciona-se o
trabalho para a an??lise arquitect??nica, decifrando nos excertos liter??rios ???discurso
arquitect??nico??? que corresponde a duas circunst??ncias diferentes: espa??o constru??do,
transformado em museu; e espa??o ???desconstru??do??? em ru??na. Desta forma pretende-se
restituir um ???espa??o fict??cio???, imagin??rio ou real atrav??s de imagens que correspondem
a palavras que expressam o lugar, o habitar e a janela, de cada caso de estudo,
podendo assim explorar a dicotomia entre dois estados actuais: conserva????o ou ru??na,
encontrando curiosamente o conceito de ???paisagem??? como s??ntese dos temas que ??
arquitectura dizem respeito. This dissertation has as its principal objective the reciprocity between literary
architectonic descriptions and the constructed or ???destroyed??? space, at the same time
that analyses literary styles, the authors and the experiences and memories of the
same that contribute to the creation of ???history???, materialising the scenario where the
action unfolds.
The study starts with an approach that concentrates on the memories and
experiences of writers, that influences their stories, at the same time that their
sensitivity transports the reader to fictional architectonic universes. Using various
examples, namely writers who are inspired in architecture, architects that produce
literature and writers that do architecture, that corresponds to the first part of the work
we entitle ???Architectonic Memories???.
In the second part we focus ourselves on two writers that will give a motto to
the third part of the work. Camilo Castelo Branco and E??a de Queir??s, were the
Portuguese authors from the XIX century chosen for the literary and architectonic
approach, making each one correspond to ???a house???.
Going from the study of the era and of the writers in question, the work is
directed to the architectonic analysis, deciphering in the literary excerpts ???architectonic
discourse??? that corresponds to two different circumstances: constructed space,
transformed into a museum; and ???deconstructed??? space into ruin. In this way it
intends to restore a ???fictitious space???, imaginary or real through the images that
correspond to words that express the space, the habitat and the window, of each study
case, thus enabling to explore the dichotomy between two actual states: conservation
or ruin, finding curiously the concept of the ???landscape??? as a synthesis of the themes
that are of architectural concern. Cette dissertation ?? pour principal objectif d???analyser la r??ciprocit?? entre les
descriptions architectural et l'espace construit ou "d??truit", et en m??me temps analyser
les styles litt??raires, les auteurs, les exp??riences et les m??moires de ceux qui ont
contribu?? ?? la cr??ation "de l'histoire", en r??alisant le sc??nario l?? o?? l???action se d??roule.
L'??tude commence par une approche qui se concentre sur les m??moires et les
exp??riences des auteurs, qui influencent leurs histoires, en m??me temps que leur
sensibilit?? transporte le lecteur vers des univers architecturaux. En utilisant plusieurs
exemples, ?? savoir les auteurs qui s???inspirent de l???architecture, des architectes qui
produisent de la litt??rature et d???auteurs qui font de l???architecture, cela correspond ?? la
premi??re partie du travail que nous avons intitul?? ???les M??moires Architecturales???.
Dans la deuxi??me partie nous allons nous focaliser sur deux auteurs qui
donnent le mot d???ordre de la tresi??me partie du travail. Camilo Castelo Branco et E??a
de Queir??s, ont ??t?? les auteurs portugais du 19e si??cle choisi pour l???approche litt??raire
et architecturale, faisant correspondre ?? chacun "une maison."
En partant de l'??tude ?? travers des ??poques et des auteurs mentionn??, le travail
se dirige vers l'analyse architectural, d??chiffrant dans les extraits litt??raire "le discours
architectural" qui correspond ?? deux circonstances diff??rentes : l???espace construit,
transform?? en mus??e ; et l'espace "d??truit" en ruine.
De cette fa??on nous avons l'intention de rendre "un espace fictif", imaginaire ou r??el au
travers d???images qui correspondent a de mots qui expriment le lieux, l???habitat et la
fen??tre, de chaque cas d'??tude, permettant ainsi d???explorer la dichotomie entre deux
??tats actuels: la conservation ou la ruine, trouvant ??tonnant le concept "de paysage"
comme la synth??se des th??mes qui touchent ?? l???architecture.
