e a sua relação com o Acesso Aberto à produção científica”, desenvolvido pelos
Serviços de Documentação da Universidade do Minho em 2012 com o objetivo
de recolher informações sobre a opinião, atitude e práticas relacionadas com o
Acesso Aberto dos investigadores que trabalham em Portugal. Esta recolha de
informação, bem como a análise de alguns dos resultados, tem como ponto de
partida as principais iniciativas relacionadas com as políticas Open Access da
Comissão Europeia. O inquérito por questionário que consubstancia este estudo
organizou-se em quatro grupos de questões: o primeiro grupo caracteriza o investigador;
o segundo caracteriza os projetos em que o investigador participou
ou participa financiados pela FCT – Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia e
pelo 7º Programa-Quadro da Comissão Europeia; o terceiro grupo de questões
identifica o nível de conhecimento, apreciação e atitude sobre o princípio do
acesso aberto aos resultados da investigação; e, por último, o grupo onde se
caracterizam as práticas de publicação e de acesso aberto dos investigadores. This chapter presents the results from the study “Researchers in Portugal and
their views regarding Open Access to scientific information” conducted by Minho
University Documentation Services in 2012. This study aimed to collect information
about the opinions, attitudes and practices of Portuguese researchers
regarding Open Access. It was based on the main initiatives of the European
Commission Open Access policies. The survey that undelies this study was organized in four groups of questions:
the first group is the researcher characterization; the second one refers the participation
in research projects funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science
and Technology and by the 7th Framework Programme of the European Commission;
the third group of questions identifies the level of knowledge, evaluation
and attitude regarding the principle of Open Access to research outputs;
and finally the last group is related with the researchers’ practices on publishing
and on Open Access.
