The paper examines the configuration of time as a key issue in Petits Chaperons, by José Luis Zárate, which rewrites the Perrault-Grimm's fairy tale in a series of microfictions. What is the narrative shape of time in each microfiction as well as in the series ? How does the temporality of the microfictional series affect the narrativity of the fairy tale ? The paper describes the two operations (only one action and parataxis) which undermine the continuity of time of the traditional narrative in the microfictions so as to create narratives without narrativity on one hand and narrativity without a narrative on the other hand. It questions the role of these operations in the contemporary changes of the short story and their meaning in the transmission of our collective memory in the postmodern world.
