As Interfaces Urbano-Rurais apresentam características que, em Portugal, são diversas das de outros países, dificultando a sua definição e identificação, bem como a das estratégias adequadas à prevenção, protecção e combate aos incêndios florestais.
Tomando como área de estudo a região do Ave, no período de 2001 a 2007, procedemos à análise e identificação das freguesias correspondentes a áreas de Interface Urbano-Rural, utilizando a tipologia do INE. Au Portugal, les interfaces habitat urbain-forêt ont des caractéristiques différentes d’autres pays, ce qui rend difficile leur définition et l’identification des stratégies appropriées en matière de prévention, protection et lutte contre les incendies de forêt. Prenant la région d’Ave comme l’aire d’étude, on a procédé, pour la période de 2001 à 2007, à l’analyse et à l’identification de municipalités correspondantes aux interfaces habitat urbain-forêt, en utilisant la typologie de l’INE (Institut National de Statistique). Wildland-Urban Interface (WUI) show different characteristics in Portugal, making it difficult to define and identify, as well as accurate strategies of prevention, protection and forest fire fighting.
Considering Ave region as case study, between the years of 2001 and 2007, we have proceeded to the analysis and identification of territories corresponding to the WUI areas, using INE (National Statistic Institute) typology.
