O bullying é uma das manifestações de violência com maior incidência na sociedade atual, ocorrendo predominantemente nas escolas. O objetivo primordial do presente trabalho assenta fundamentalmente na perceção que os professores têm sobre a problemática bullying. A primeira parte do trabalho é constituída pela revisão da literatura referente aos principais aspetos da temática em questão, e na segunda parte são apresentados os resultados de um estudo qualitativo, do qual fizeram parte dez professores do ensino secundário com idades compreendidas entre os vinte e seis e os quarenta e sete anos de idade, sendo que oito são do sexo feminino e dois do sexo masculino. Para a realização da presente investigação utilizou-se como técnica de recolha de informação a entrevista semiestruturada, direcionada numa primeira parte para alguma recolha de informação pessoal dos participantes que se achou pertinente para o estudo, e numa segunda parte constituída por dez questões de resposta aberta. Os principais resultados apontam para a necessidade de uma melhor formação dos professores sobre a temática bullying, bem como a importância de uma maior divulgação do tema com a finalidade de alertar as escolas para as consequências destas práticas, realçando particularmente o desenvolvimento de medidas de prevenção e intervenção. Bullying is one of the manifestations of violence with higher incidence in society nowadays, occurring predominantly on schools. The primordial objective of the present work rests fundamentally on the teacher’s perception about the problematic of bullying. The first part of the work is constituted by the review of the existing literature referring the main aspects of the thematic in question, and in the second part are presented the results of a qualitative study of which took part ten teachers of the secondary school with ages between twenty six and forty seven years of age, of which eight are of the female gender and two of the male gender. For the realization of the present investigation was used a semisstructured interview has the method for gathering information, directed in a first part for a personal collection of information of the participants that were believed to be pertinent for the study, and in a second part constituted by ten questions of open response. The main results point out for the need for a better training of the teachers about the thematic of bullying, as well as the importance for a greater disclosure of the theme with the finality to alert the schools for the consequences of these practices, enhancing particularly the development of preservation and intervention measures.
