possuem itens com conteúdos multidimensionais e cujas respostas têm uma natureza subjectiva.
O OPUS é um instrumento computorizado que consubstancia a análise funcional das
preferências em profissões e verbos e possui múltiplos indicadores em termos de resultados. A
presente investigação consta dos primeiros estudos para a adaptação à língua portuguesa do
OPUS, cuja versão original é Suíça. Para tal, procedeu-se à avaliação das qualidades métricas do
OPUS, destacando-se a utilização do Inventário de Interesses e Exploração Auto-Dirigida (SDS)
de Holland como elemento de validação. Foi utilizada uma amostra de 292 estudantes do 12º ano
(n= 225) e do 10º ano (n= 67) que frequentam uma Escola Secundária da cidade de Santarém.
Nos dados, destacam-se os índices da precisão dos resultados que são comparáveis aos obtidos
com a versão original e salientam-se os indicadores favoráveis à validade de construto da medida
OPUS, particularmente no que respeita ao modelo teórico de Holland. Esta investigação abre
possibilidades à utilização do OPUS em Portugal, e muito particularmente para os portugueses
residentes na Suíça ou em países de língua francesa onde o OPUS é usado. The functional method was specifically created for the attitude evaluation tests, which possess
items with both multidimensional contents and whose answers have a subjective nature. The
OPUS is a computerized instrument that consubstantiates the functional analysis of professions
and verbs preferences and benefits from multiple indicators in terms of results. The present
investigation is counted amongst the first studies for adapting the OPUS to the Portuguese
language, since its original version is Swiss. To achieve such goal, an evaluation of the metrical
qualities of the OPUS has been undertaken, of which are relevant to point out the use Holland’s
Interests Inventory and Self-Directed Exploration – SDS as a validation tool. A sample of 292
students has been considered, of which are 12th graders (n= 225) and 10th graders (n= 67) all of
them attending a Highschool in Santarém. Concerning the data, it’s relevant to denote the result
precision indexes, comparable to those achievable with the original version, and the indexes
favorable to the construct validity of the OPUS measure, particularly in what refers to Holland’s
theoretical model. This investigation opens the way to new possibilities of the OPUS application
in Portugal, and quite particularly to Portuguese residents in Switzerland, or any other French
speaking countries where OPUS is used.
