Dissertação submetida como requisito parcial para obtenção do grau de Mestre em Comunicação, Cultura e Tecnologias da Informação A importância que a imprensa deu ao nascimento de três novos blogues, que iriam animar as eleições legislativas de 2009, foi o ponto de partida deste trabalho. Apoiantes das maiores forças partidárias nacionais - PS, PSD e CDS/PP - juntaram-se em três blogues distintos para apelar ao voto no seu partido. O que iria encontrar nestes blogues? Um aceso debate político entre a Esquerda e a Direita sobre as grandes questões que as diferenciam? Ou estes blogues seriam mais um espaço para onde os partidos debitam a informação política que querem passar ao eleitorado? Este trabalho analisa três acontecimentos que marcaram o último mês de campanha eleitoral e como os “blogues de campanha” abordaram esses acontecimentos. As grandes questões levantadas por estes acontecimentos não foram debatidas nos “blogues de campanha”. Perante os acontecimentos analisados estes blogues revelam que são apenas mais um canal de comunicação que os partidos políticos utilizam para chegar ao eleitorado indeciso. The importance the press gave to the birth of three new blogs that would liven up the legislative elections of 2009, was the starting point for this work. Supporters of the major national party forces – PS, PSD e CDS/PP – gathered up in three different blogs to make an appeal for the vote in their parties. What would I find in these blogs? A lit up political debate between Left and Right over the big issues that differentiate them? Or would these blogs be just another space where parties spill the political information they want to pass on to the electorate? This work analyses three events that marked the last month of electoral campaign and how “campaign blogs” handle these events. The big issues arose by these events where not debated in “campaign blogs”. Before the analysed events these blogs reveal they are just another communication channel that parties used to get to the indecisive voters.
