O projeto de investigação-ação “Repórteres da Escrita Criativa” pretendeu avaliar o potencial da escrita e da leitura enquanto veículos das relações interculturais e da construção identitária, em concreto visando tornar mais familiares aos alunos envolvidos os elementos culturais da localidade que habitam, mas ambicionando também abrir-lhes os horizontes para outras tradições, outros países, outras culturas. Para chegar ao que pretendíamos, usámos como instrumento-base o conto tradicional, especificamente as lendas que abordam, de alguma forma, as origens das comunidades em causa, tanto as do grupo principal de participantes no projeto, alunos de uma escola do Primeiro Ciclo do Ensino Básico, em Vila Nova de Gaia, como as de um grupo secundário, da Escola Comunitária de Cazenga, em Angola. Foram realizadas três atividades a partir dos textos fornecidos, com o objetivo de praticar a leitura, a oralidade, a interpretação e, sobretudo, incrementar as capacidades de escrita. A segunda parte do projeto consistiu no apuramento possível dos efeitos da convivência quase lúdica das crianças com as lendas, especificamente no que diz respeito a uma possível maior abertura intercultural e à interiorização de conhecimentos sobre as próprias origens.ABSTRACT: The project of action-investigation “Creative Writing Reporters” intended to assess the reading and writing skills potential as vehicles of the cross-cultural relations and identity building, specifically it aims, not only to bring local cultural components of the involved communities of students living place, but also thrives to open their horizons to other traditions, other countries and cultures. In a first stage, in order to reach our goal, we’ve used the traditional stories as a primary tool, more specifically the legends that are portrayed in that literature, in a way, the origins of the communities involved in the project: the main group of students of a Portuguese Elementary school in Vila Nova de Gaia, as well as the students of the secondary group at the Community school of Cazenga, Angola. We’ve developed 3 different follow-up activities which derived from the texts that were chosen and read, with the main goal of practicing the reading, speaking and interpretation skills and most of all to develop the students writing ability.
