Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo o desenvolvimento de um modelo de avaliação e
diagnóstico das causas das patologias, num processo de remodelação de um edifício do
princípio do século XX e ainda no estudo das possíveis medidas corretivas, numa fase
primária de avaliação. Neste tipo de intervenção será sempre necessário recorrer às
tecnologias atuais e à compreensão da tectónica original, a fim de se poder optimizar as
soluções para este tipo de reabilitação.
As características históricas e morfológicas da construção foram tomadas em conta com a
finalidade de se definir e estudar as melhores soluções para uma intervenção adequada, o
que será válido não só neste caso como em outros semelhantes. A origem e o programa
das Casas de Veraneio de Cascais foram igualmente estudados, tendo sido levado em
conta a sua importância para o desenvolvimento da Vila, constituindo a Casa Sommer disso
um exemplo importante, assim como a preservação da memória e da relação da construção
sustentável com o respeito ambiental.
Com base no programa municipal para a remodelação da Casa Sommer- Arquivo Municipal,
o estudo e análise vem confirmar que o mesmo é adequado para a nova utilização da casa.
É no entanto necessário proceder ao reforço da estrutura do edifício, bem como o
refechamento de várias fissuras existentes em algumas paredes e ainda ao reforço da
estrutura dos pavimentos superiores.
A presente pesquisa considerou todas as exigências das leis portuguesas aplicáveis nas
áreas de conforto e bem-estar, os princípios de intervenção contemporâneos, bem como os
princípios da salvaguarda da identidade. The aim of this research is a development of an evaluation and diagnosis model of the
pathological causes in a refurbishment process of a building from the 20th century and the
study of the possible corrective measures, in a primarily evaluation phase. However it is
always necessary to seize the actual technologies and the original building elements, to find
the best solutions for this type of rehabilitation.
The historical and morphological building characteristics has been take in account in order to
define and study the best solutions for an adequate intervention in this case and in similar
ones. The origin and program of the Cascais village holidays homes has been also study and
taken in account and its importance for the village development, as Casa Sommer is an
important example, as well the memory preservation and the environmental and built
sustainable respect.
Under the basis of the municipal program for Casa Sommer refurbishment, the Municipal
Archives (Arquivo Municipal), the study and analysis confirm that the program is adequate for
the house new use. The reinforcement of the building structures is necessary, as well the
sealing of several cracks in some walls and the reinforcement of the upper floors structures.
The present research includes all the demands of the Portuguese mandatory laws in the
fields of comfort and well being, in a contemporary intervention principles, and, as well in the
