O objetivo do estudo foi analisar as relações entre identidade, integridade e motivação
moral em sujeitos adolescentes. Apoiados numa perspetiva que enfatiza a identidade e as
emoções como fatores determinantes da ação moral do individuo, utilizámos três medidas,
Prova de Motivação para Ação Moral (Ferreira, 2011), Escala de Integridade (Ferreira, 2011)
e o Inventário Psicossocial das Forças do Ego (Markstrom e colaboradores, 1997, traduzida
por Ferreira, 2011).A amostra foi composta por 177 sujeitos, 107 do 10º ano, 56 masculinos e
51 femininos (M= 15,62; Dp=,71) e 70 do 12º ano, 25 masculinos e 42 femininos
(M=17,49;Dp =,70), de duas escolas secundárias do concelho de Almada. Verificou-se que
existem diferenças individuais na consciência moral e na atribuição de emoções o que apoia a
perspetiva de que as emoções e a identidade também participam nos processos de motivação
moral. Blasi (204) e Ferreira (2011). A intensidade das emoções atribuídas varia em função
do tipo de consciência moral. Foi ainda verificada associação entre a integridade e a
consciência moral e atribuição de emoções, nas transgressões por mentira e fraude, o que dá
suporte à noção que à importância da integridade para a ação moral defendida por Schlenker
(2008). The aim of the study was analyze the relationship between identity, integrity and
moral motivation in youth. Backed into a perspective that emphasizes identity and emotions
as determinants of individual moral action, we used three measures, Moral Motivation for
Action Task (Ferreira, 2011), Integrity Scale (Ferreira, 2011) and the Psychosocial Inventory
of Ego Strenghts (Markstrom et al, 1997, translated by Ferreira, 2011). We evaluated 177
subjects, 107 of 10th grade, 56 male and 51 female (M = 15.62, SD = 71), and 70 of 12th
grade, 25 males and 42 females (M = 17.49, SD = , 70), of two secondary schools in the
municipality of Almada. We found individual differences in moral conscience and attribution
of emotions which supports the perspective that emotions and identity also participate in
processes of moral motivation like Blasi (204) and Ferreira (2011) proposed. The intensity of
the emotions attributed varies depending on the type of moral conscience.It was further
observed association between integrity and moral conscience and allocation of emotions,
transgressions for lying and fraud who supports the importance of integrity for moral action
