Monografia apresentada à Universidade Fernando Pessoa para obtenção do grau Licenciada em Enfermagem O presente estudo é intitulado “O conhecimento dos alunos do 4º ano da Licenciatura de Enfermagem da Universidade Fernando Pessoa sobre o Reiki”. Opta-se por um estudo descritivo, transversal e quantitativo. Como objectivos pretende-se identificar o conhecimento dos alunos de Enfermagem sobre o Reiki, identificar a importância que os mesmos atribuem ao Reiki na prestação de cuidados de Enfermagem, bem como na sua formação académica. Como instrumento de colheita de dados opta-se pelo questionário, aplicado entre o período de vinte e trinta de Abril a uma amostra constituída por 60 alunos do 4ª ano da Licenciatura de Enfermagem da Universidade Fernando Pessoa do Porto do ano lectivo de 2008/2009. Dos 60 alunos da amostra, 43 alunos responderam a todas as questões do questionário, pois estes cumpriram os critérios para continuar o preenchimento do mesmo. Assim, a amostra fica a ser constituída por 43 alunos. Os resultados indicam que 19 alunos afirmam saber o que é Reiki. Na sua grande maioria, 44,19%, classificam como “Bastante importante” a utilização do Reiki na prestação dos cuidados de Enfermagem, e 48,84% classificam também como “Bastante importante” a sua inclusão no plano curricular da Licenciatura em Enfermagem, Os alunos que afirmam não ter conhecimento sobre Reiki (24 alunos) afirmam ter curiosidade em o saber. A implementação do Reiki nos cuidados de Enfermagem é assinalada pelos 43 alunos. This study is entitled "The knowledge on Reiki of 4th year students of the degree in Nursing at Fernando Pessoa University". It choses a quantitative, descriptive-simple and transversal study The objectives include identify nursing students’ knowledge of Reiki, identify the importance attributed to Reiki both in the practice of nursing care and in their own academic education. The chosen instrument of data collection was the questionnaire, applied from the 20th to the 30th April to a sample of 60 4th year students of 4th year of the degree in Nursing at Fernando Pessoa University, in Porto, in the academic year of 2008/2009. Of the 60 students in the sample, 43 students answered all questions in the questionnaire, as they met the criteria to continue filling it. So, the sample is to be composed of 43 students. The results show that 19 students stat knowing what Reiki is. The vast majority, 44,19%, qualify as "rather important" the use of Reiki in nursing care and its inclusion in the curriculum of the degree in Nursing, 48,84%. All the students who claim to be unaware about Reiki, (24 students) stat their curiosity to know about it. The implementation of Reiki in nursing care had all 43 students´ agreement.
